A man was fatally shot during a clash over drugs at a Brooklyn housing project early Saturday, police said.

A 27 year old man identified as Jonathan Ramos was killed in a shootout at a Brooklyn housing project. The incident occurred on early Saturday according to the police report.

Prima facie, it appears to have been a conflict arising over a drug deal which turned ugly. Witnesses said that the victim was arguing with another person shortly before he was shot sometime between 2-3 AM. Jonathan Ramos was reported to be a resident in the Copper Houses in East Williamsburg.

He was rushed to the Woodhull Hospital following the fatal shooting but was pronounced dead on arrival. Illicit narcotics were recovered by the police near the crime scene.

However, no arrests have been made in the case and police are still investigating and searching the area to identify and apprehend the gunman.
